What you need are:
1/ 2 cloths(non abrasive)
2/ Car Polish
So, add a generous layer of non-caustic car polish to your marble table tops and smooth out with one of the two cloths.
Next, use the second cloth to buff the surface, removing excess polish and leaving a thin film of polish.
This will protect your top from stains. It is important, though, to do this to surfaces where the chemicals will not penetrate food or beverages since they will be absorbed by the food and cause a mild to moderate case of food pollution.
