Use Baking Soda To Clean And Neutralize Smells

A topical yet often effective way to remove stains and neutralize smells is by using bicarbonate of soda. So, here is a suggestion you can try(in a small area first):

  • Make a paste consisting of baking soda and water
  • Cover the stain fully with the paste and allow to completely dry
  • Spray vinegar onto the dry paste( it will froth)
  • Using an abrasive substance such as steel wool or a scrubbing pad, rub the stain until it comes off
  • Using a clean cloth, wipe the area thoroughly with water until the area is clean.

Using this remedy will negate the need for harmful chemicals, however, always test the area first to ensure no adverse effects to the material.
